Winter Overseeding: On Wednesday, October 7, we will begin overseeding greens, collars and tee boxes in order to establish good course conditions for this winter when our summer grass goes dormant. When greens are overseeded, we also apply a light layer of sand topdressing. This helps create a green, uniform putting surface during the winter. Everyone agrees that putting greens are the most important playing area of any golf course and we appreciate your understanding as we take steps necessary to create the best possible conditions. Greens will not be mowed for the following 7-10 days to allow the seed time to germinate.
Starting Tuesday, October 13, we will start overseeding select fairways and those will be roped off to cart traffic to help ensure effective coverage.
The following week on October 21, we will overseed the practice range tee box. To allow time for the seed to become established, the range will be on mats only through the middle of November.
